Volunteers:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Rootz & Ritual Mystical Market!
Our markets are fun, vibrant, and community-driven, and we truly appreciate all the help we can get.
At Rootz & Ritual, we strive to create a space where our vendors feel supported, seen, and celebrated. Many of our vendors come from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities that are not always centered at traditional fairs and markets. Creating opportunities for these businesses, artists, healers, and creators is at the heart of what we do.
If you're here, chances are you already understand and value that mission and we're so excited to have you be part of it!
What to ExpectOur fairs typically run anywhere from 6–10 hours. Setup usually takes about 1–2 hours, depending on how many helping hands we have, and breakdown takes roughly the same amount of time.
Currently, there are a few volunteer roles you may be a part of:
1. Greeter & Attendance Tracker
You'll be the friendly face welcoming people into the market and helping us track attendance. That means you'll get your very own clicker! (I know... thrilling. 😆)
2. Madaming
This role supports our healers and readers by helping them get sign-ups for their sessions. You'll answer basic questions, direct people to our waiting area, and help visitors navigate the services being offered throughout the market.
3. Staff & Vendor Support
This role helps keep our vendors cared for throughout the day. You'll allow vendors to take breaks, use the restroom, make phone calls, grab a snack, or simply step away for a moment. You'll be trusted to watch their booth while they're away. You'll also be there to support vendors with their needs and, of course, support Lina while she's running around doing a million things. 😂

❋ Do i need to stay the whole day?You do not need to stay for the entire event. We simply ask that you give us some notice about how much time you'd like to volunteer so we can plan accordingly.
❋ Is lunch provided?Snacks and light refreshments will be available throughout the day, and again, thank you for taking an interest in supporting our market. We truly couldn't do this without community!
❋What's the vibe?We intentionally cultivate a diverse community of vendors from all backgrounds, paths, and mystical practices. Rootz & Ritual is all about creating a welcoming space where different traditions, crafts, and forms of magic can coexist and be celebrated.
As for the music? Expect a fun, feel-good mix of R&B, Pop, and Reggaeton to keep the energy flowing throughout the day. We like our markets to feel vibrant, lively, and community-centered.
